Bloomberg

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg left the Republican Party on Tuesday and switched to unaffiliated, a move certain to be seen as a prelude to an independent presidential bid that would upend the 2008 race.

All part of the plan to split the anti-Clinton vote, just as Ross Perot did.

Another more hopeful way to look at this is that Bloomberg is really a democrat, and he will in fact split their vote.

This means we definately must nominate a strong conservative, so we keep all our votes together, and let the left of center split up theirs.
