Global warming hits Massachusetts

"Certainly, today is the coldest March day since 1950."

- Meteorologist William Simpson, referring to the cold weather in Massachusetts

The coldest March day in almost 60 years is caused by global warming? I am sure the Goracle has a perfectly logical explanation.

I have another thoery about this.

Most of the science that concludes that western civilization is destroying the earth by warming it is conducted under funding from governmental sources (public funding).

The scientists that receive the funds know the conclusions expected of them, and as well, the funds are only granted to the scientists that the grantors believe "understand" the issues the best.

This virtuous (warming) circle leads to funding for science reaching desired conclusions, and reaching certain conclusions leading to more funding.

Privately funded science with different conclusions is ignored and labeled agenda driven.

Scientists seeking government funds know that any step out of line ends all future funding.

And why is this circle perpetuated? You already identified it -- as a clever means to redistribute wealth and turn America into a third world nation.

It is starting to appear that this particular socialist plan is unraveling. Too many record cold days.

Now it turns out that eating meat is the biggest cause of global warming. From now on, only vegetarians have standing to complain about global warming. This is very bad news for the Goreacle.

This fact must be true, coming from two trusted sources, PETA and the United Nations.

I saw that item where PETA was beating up Gore for not revealing that it was the meat eaters that were at fault.

Simultaneously humorous and pathetic.
