Tancredo

Colorado Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo, an outspoken opponent of illegal immigration, will announce his bid for president on Monday.

Tancredo acknowledges that he is a long shot for president, but he has made no secret that he hopes to rattle McCain's campaign in Iowa by appealing to conservatives on immigration, abortion and other issues.

Tancredo is a good guy on the issues, but the lack of national name recognition is a real impediment.

I just read a long feature article on Mitt Romney in NewsMax magazine.

I might be coming around to making him my #1 preference.

He has a better CEO capability than anyone else, includng Rudy, would be a determined foe of the advance of Islam, and is a social conservative, much more so than Rudy.

My biggest fear, can he win? But, he did win in Massachusetts. That says something.

As for the Mormon issue, I believe the Christians would prefer that to someone who believes in nothing. There is much more commonality than differences.

I would prefer a sincere Mormon over a fake Christian (Obama, Hillary).
