Pelosi is a hypocrite

(quoted from a Washington Times story)

"I am shocked," said Rep. Eric Cantor, Virginia Republican and his party's chief deputy whip, noting that Mrs. Pelosi campaigned heavily on promises of honest government. "Now we find out that she is exempting hometown companies from minimum wage. This is exactly the hypocrisy and double talk that we have come to expect from the Democrats."

*******************************

My own comment = Pelosi is a hypocrite, but we already knew that.

But she also cares about jobs, so why wouldn't she help protect jobs in her district? To be a good politician, you need to think globally (do good things for the world) but act locally (do good things for yourself).

Why is that hypocritical?

Al, you raise a very interesting point.

A lot of the other members of congress were also concerned about jobs in their own districts.

Why does Pelosi's district get special treatment?

Pelosi is a hyprocrite because she insists that what she thinks is good for her own district is not allowed in other districts.

"Do as I say, not as I do" is a symptom of hypocrisy.

Sacrifices have to be made for the common good, you know that. If everyone sacrificed, there would be no good left, so therefore it is the duty of the political leaders to make less of a sacrifice so the rest of the people can see what benefits lie ahead once we together impose even higher sacrifices on the rich.

It is so easy to understand, I don't see why you struggle with it.

Pelosi will do more to damage the liberal cause than any one else because she will start to show her true colors now that she is "the most powerful woman in the world" as she recently described herself.

Liberals do much better as the complainers on the sidelines than they ever do being accountable for decisions themselves.

My hope it we only have to get a two year reminder, and not six.

I am a little concerned on that two year vs. six year thing.

Two years might not be enough for some Americans to get thoroughly sick and tired of liberals.

Of course, some of us have already been ill & exhausted by liberals for decades.

Al, if you want to go after rich white liberals like Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, and Herb Kohl then sign me up. I will be in the front rank.

If you want to go after rich people in general, then forget it. They already pay more than their share in taxes and donate more than their share to charity.
