Jimmy Carter apologizes

Carter apologizes for his book.

Now maybe he should apologize for his entire tenure as president and former-president.

I cannot think of any two words that go better with Jimmy Carter than his own description of himself -- improper and stupid.

But I must give him credit. I was a liberal until he demonstrated how supremely poor of an idea that was.

If it wasn't for Jimmy, I might never have figured it out by myself. After all, I went to Michigan State.

I have him to thank, and I do so.

Of couse our nation's worst President was followed by its best, so the contrast was very difficult to miss.

It was obvious, even to a liberal like me.

The trouble is now, we may have to suffer through another Jimmy before it becomes obvious again.

Bush/Clinton/Bush spent so much time around the middle playing politics that many people, especially the young who never knew Carter/Reagan, can't understand or see the value differences between liberal and conservative.

So, here we go, playing the same movie over again.

Sad because we are still paying the price for Carter's incompetence and the destructive effect he had on American power and respect.

Yes, it could happen all over again.

People need a really bad president to remind them but it only lasts a few years and then they forget again.
