Has this woman never heard of the IRA?
Muslims (or people calling themselves Muslims) are committing more terrorist bombings than the IRA in these modern times. And most of those incidents are Muslims killing Muslims (or people calling themselves Muslims killing other people calling themselves Muslims). So, the IRA has faded into distant memory. She probably heard of the IRA a long time ago, and then forgot about them.
