As a shadow candidate for president whose goal is to win attention, Schwarzenegger has been highly effective. The New York Times recently lauded him for "saving the Republican Party from being totally dominated by climate cranks" who deny global warming.

According to liberals, climate cranks are defined as anyone who has the nerve to actually look at the data and the issues, and draw a conclusion that differs from the liberal "dogma of the day."
Liberals said similar things about global cooling a few short decades ago.
Of course, young liberals would not know anything about that.
