Lieberman

"The challenge before us, then, is whether we respond to al-Qaeda's barbarism by running away, as it hopes we do -- abandoning the future of Iraq, the Middle East and ultimately our own security to the very people responsible for last week's atrocities -- or whether we stand and fight.

To me, there is only one choice that protects America's security -- and that is to stand, and fight, and win."

- Joe Lieberman, Washington Post (read full comments here)

I agree with Lieberman.

I would disagree with Lieberman on almost every economic and social issue, but on national security, and understanding that we face a dangerous and very determined enemy, I would stand side by side with him.

I do not understand how he can be the only Liberal that thinks this way.

It is unusual, to say the least.

Are other liberals just going to ignore Lieberman?

Are they going to honestly debate the points that Lieberman is raising?
