Liberal bias

Democrats have been under pressure from liberal activists to avoid Fox-hosted debates. Last month, the Nevada Democratic Party canceled a debate that Fox was to co-sponsor in August. Democratic critics complain that the network displays a conservative bias in its news broadcasts.

But decades of liberal bias on other networks never bothered Democrats at all.

Do you seriously think the media has a liberal bias today? ABC is one of the most conservative networks on television today, and The Washington Post is as much a neocon newspaper as the Washington Times. The head of ABC news recently said that "Drudge rules the media's world," meaning that Drudge - a radical right winger - sets the agenda for today's news media. The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, the AP - are you honestly trying to say that these are liberal news organizations?

There is no partisan angle to the discovering and investigation of sheer corruption, and there is no question that the Bush administration is one of the most inept, corrupt, incompetent administrations in history. Hell, even Newt Gingrich called for Alberto Gonzales' resignation on Sunday. And do you believe that Michael Brown was the best person in the country to run FEMA? One day he's head of the Arabian Horse Foundation, and the next day he's head of FEMA? BUSH made that appointment - do you think it displays partisan bias to criticize Bush for making such an idiotic appointment?

Do you think Gonzales firing prosecutors who were investigating Republican corruption is just a figment of the "liberal" media's imagination?

Comparing the Washington Post to the Washington Times is completely inaccurate and calls into question the entire rest of your argument.

You failed to mention CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, Air America, and other leftwing media too numerous to list.

Did you complain when Clinton replaced prosecutors? My guess is "No."

Are you going to complain when a future Democratic president replaces prosecutors? No, you are going to view it as business as usual.

More of the liberal double standard. And liberal bias.

Which was the point in the first place.

That is an amazingly different view.

I would say ABC and Washington Post are definately left of center.

Interesting.

Drudge doesn't editorialize, unless it is in his choice of links. The reference to ruling the world is that millions of people choose to go there for a selection of stories, rather than be forced to see the selection of the left media.

The AP is left, no doubt.

I agree the Fox News and the WSJ are on the conservative side, but that is about it.

Good to see anonymous post though, interesting.

PLease sign in with a name so we can track your thoughts over time.

This what the disease of liberalism does to a brain.

The entire rightmost 95% of the bell curve is reduced to 5%, and the leftmost 5% of the bell curve is expanded to 95%.

Thus, Mr. Anonymous cannot distinguish the Washington Post from the Washington Times.

In the world of liberals like Mr. Anonymous, any media outlet that is to the right of the NY Times is defined as right wing.
