Idiocy in Michigan

We have come to the conclusion that the crisis Michigan faces is not a shortage of revenue, but an excess of idiocy. Facing a budget deficit that has passed the $1 billion mark, House Democrats Thursday offered a spending plan that would buy a MP3 player or iPod for every school child in Michigan.

- Detroit News editorial

I agree with the criticism of idiocy in Michigan, and it is not just on this one issue.

A little late for the Detroit News since they have been supporting Granholm and the liberal gang for decades.

So now what do they do?

I know, we need better liberals.

Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, they just don't get it. Make it a business friendly place, or watch employers leave. That is the way it works.

If Michigan would eliminate it's income tax and cut its corporate tax, see what would happen then.

Of course, the State would have to slim down its beuracracy too. Opps, can't do that.

The liberal Wisconsin papers routinely ask the rhetorical question about why employers leave Wisconsin.

They are incapable of connecting a set of liberal anti-business policies to the natural result of those policies.

Taxes and regulations and taxes and lawsuit-hell fostered by government and taxes.

And then more taxes.
