"An initiative filed by proponents of same-sex marriage would require heterosexual couples to have kids within three years or else have their marriage annulled."

My own comment = Fiendishly clever attack on traditional marriage.

Fiendish yes, but foolish. Gays got all their special rights through the courts, never through voting. So let's vote on their proposal, and then maybe we can vote on a few more too. Whatever passes passes.
I'm not what is commonly called anti-gay. It is just that I view it along the same lines as being a vegetarian. I don't much care one way or the other, so long as no special rights are granted because of it.
Now we are in a situation where it is an additional risk to hire a gay employee because if they ever screw up and it is better for the company to fire them -- you cannot do it, because of the risk of litigation on a gay rights claim. So, best not to hire them in the first place. These special rights always backfire and harm those intended to help.
But very clever.
I never, and I mean literally never, would have thought of a child-bearing requirement for marriage.
