The [Florida] state School Board is holding a public hearing Thursday in Jacksonville on changes to state science standards to teach evolution in schools, instead of the current ``biological changes over time.''
Two committees of scientists, educators and other citizens wrote the standards. They and others say that evidence on evolution is overwhelming and incontrovertible and does not conflict with religious beliefs.
